Frequently Asked Questions:
Will using a remanufactured toner cartridge void my printer’s warranty?
Absolutely not. Federal law prohibits the manufacturer from voiding your warranty simply because you choose to use a third-party product for your printer. Anyone implying otherwise is violating the Massey–Ferguson Act. In the unlikely event that your printer is damaged by the use of an inked up product, we will repair or replace your machine.
Are these cartridges “drilled and filled”, as some companies’ products are?
No. Each cartridge we receive is completely disassembled; any worn parts are replaced; and the entire cartridge is thoroughly cleaned. After renewing the cartridge, we submit it to a rigorous series of quality assurance tests. If a cartridge does not meet our standards, or has exceeded its lifespan, we immediately send it to the recycling facility.
What sort of impact does the toner industry have on the environment?
It takes about a gallon of oil to make a new laser cartridge. A laser cartridge thrown into a landfill can take up to 450 years to decompose. Some components made of industrial grade plastics will take over a thousand years to decompose.
Green Office Ideas' environmentally-friendly process attempts to minimize wasted paper, plastic and metal components. You can feel good about using our renewed cartridges. Every remanufactured cartridge saves nearly 3.5 pounds of solid waste from being deposited in landfills.
Why aren’t more companies selling renewed cartridges?
Printer manufacturers will almost always advise you to purchase brand new cartridges. The simple reason for this is that manufacturers would like you to buy their expensive replacement cartridges. But this is changing, as more and more consumers are discovering the truth about renewed cartridges.
Regardless of the higher price, I really want to buy a brand-new cartridge. Will you sell me one?
Absolutely. Just request an OEM cartridge when placing your order.
